Ingredients
  1. Chicken (of course) - I prefer skinless chicken breasts and for my recipe I used about 6 pieces
  2. Yogurt (4 TSP)
  3. Tandoori masala (2 TSP)
  4. If Tandoori masala is not available then get:
    • Dhania masala (2 TSP)
    • Garam masala (1/2 TSP)
  5. Onions (2)
  6. Salt (1 TSP)
  7. Oil - I prefer olive oil (for frying to onions)
  8. 2 cloves
  9. Tomato paste (1 small can)
  10. Potatoes (2)
Procedure
  • Create the Marinade
    • Add 4 TSP of yogurt
    • Add salt (1 TSP)
    • Add 2 TSP of tandoori masala
    • If no tandoori masala add 2 TSP of dhania masala + 1/2 TSP of garam masala
    • Mix it well then add the chicken and mix it again
    • Make cuts in the chicken and leave for about 1/2 to 1 hour
  • Heat olive oil in a pan
  • Finely dice onions and then add to pan
  • Fry till onions are light brown in color
  • Skin potatoes and dice them in pieces
  • Add onions and chicken in Pressure Cooker
  • Let it cook for about 5 minutes
  • Add tomato paste and cloves
  • Add potatoes
  • Set flame to medium high and cook until the whistle blows
Bhindi
Ingredients
  1. Bhindi (Okra)
  2. Onions (2)
  3. Salt (1/2 TSP)
  4. Oil - I prefer olive oil
  5. Dhania masala (1/2 TSP)
  6. Potatoes (1)
Procedure
  1. Wash and then wipe each bhindi dry
  2. Skin and dice potatoes
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan
  4. Finely dice onions and then add to pan
  5. Fry till onions are light brown in color
  6. Add potatoes
  7. Add bhindi
  8. Let it cook as long as the bhindi does not burn
Toor Daal (Pulses)
Ingredients
  1. Toor Daal - 1 cup
  2. Water - 3 cups
  3. Salt - 1 1/2 TSP
  4. Tumeric (Haldi) - 1/3 TSP
  5. Tomato - 1
  6. Olive Oil - 1 TSP
  7. Cummin Seeds (Jeera) - 3/4 TSP
  8. Heing - Tip of TSP
  9. Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 TSP
  10. Vegetables (precut or otherwise) - 1 packet (Optional)
  11. Lime - 1
Procedure
  1. Mix Toor Daal, Water, Salt, Tumeric, Tomato
  2. Add above to Pressure Cooker, turn to high heat
  3. Wait till heat starts to escape (hissing sound) turn to low heat for 10 minutes
  4. Add vegetables
  5. Squeeze lime
  6. Add "Tarka" (See below)
  7. Mix well and serve
Tarka
  1. Heat Oil
  2. Add cummin seeds, heing, chilli powder
  3. Cook for 2 mins on high
